Share a post link to copy caption text

On Android you do not have to copy the URL into a notes app first. Share the public TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube post straight into Caption Copy, then copy the returned text.

Why share is faster than paste

Copy link → switch apps → paste works, but it is easy to grab the wrong string. The system share sheet sends the same public URL in one tap. Caption Copy’s home screen also says “Share a post into Caption Copy.”

Steps

1. Open a public TikTok video, Instagram post/reel, or YouTube video.
2. Tap Share.
3. Choose Caption Copy (you may need to expand the app list the first time).
4. Wait for the caption, title, or description, then Copy or Save.

If the shared text is not a supported public URL, Caption Copy returns you to Home with an error instead of fetching.

Clipboard as a backup

If you already copied the link, open Caption Copy. When the clipboard holds a supported URL, the field can fill automatically or show “Link found on clipboard.”

Common mistakes

• Sharing a screenshot instead of the post. Caption Copy needs the URL, not an image.
• Sharing to Messages or Drive by accident. Pick Caption Copy in the sheet.
